Senior Product Designer

Responsibilities

• Desktop Application Design: Champion the evolution of Katalon Studio’s desktop interface by designing intuitive and efficient user experiences that take full advantage of the Eclipse framework’s capabilities.
• Design System Implementation: Understand, adopt, and implement our Design System across the desktop app, ensuring a cohesive design language and usability across all modules.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to translate product vision into compelling, functional designs.
• Strategic Design: Utilize a deep understanding of product vision and market strategy to inform design decisions that align with business goals and enhance the user experience.
• Rapid Iteration: Excel in a fast-paced development environment by rapidly iterating on designs based on user feedback and evolving technical requirements.
• Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate design concepts to a wide range of stakeholders, including executive leadership, ensuring that designs meet both user and business needs.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior and Mid-level designers, nurturing a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.
• Developer Tools Integration: Ensure design solutions integrate seamlessly with the Eclipse platform, enhancing the productivity of our technical user base.
• Domain Expertise: Apply your experience in designing desktop applications and test automation tools to deliver innovative, user-centered design solutions.

Must-have

• Experience: At least 5 years in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating the design and delivery of complex products—preferably desktop applications.
• Design Systems: Proven experience in understanding and implementing Design Systems within complex products or cross-platform design systems.
• Technical base: Familiarity with the technical framework (especially Eclipse) and best practices in desktop application design.
• Collaboration: Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels; proficiency in English communication is essential.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to align design decisions with the product’s overall vision, direction, and strategy.
• Pace and Adaptability: Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Nice-to-have

• Domain Expertise: Experience in designing products for test automation or quality assurance environments.
• AI Knowledge: Understanding of AI integration within product design to drive innovative user experiences.
• Leadership: Experience in mentoring and guiding junior to mid-level designers.
