About the Role

As a Community Specialist, you will play a key role in driving engagement, increasing the number of active members, and ensuring the Katalon community contributes to business impact through retention, expansion, and new customer acquisition. You will support QA practitioners and testers globally by providing technical assistance, facilitating knowledge sharing, and coordinating events and activities that promote collaboration and learning.

Your contributions will enhance the Community’s role as a strategic asset, strengthening relationships with existing users and increasing Katalon’s market presence in automation testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Engagement & Growth

  • Foster a thriving and engaged community across forums, Academy, and social media platforms.
  • Increase user-generated content and discussions by collaborating with community members and power users.
  • Monitor, moderate, and respond to community discussions to ensure an inclusive and valuable experience.
  • Identify and develop community champions to amplify brand awareness and expertise sharing.

Community Events & Programs

  • Assist in organizing and promoting local and global events (meetups, workshops, webinars, hackathons, etc.)
  • Partner with internal teams to coordinate community-driven initiatives that enhance knowledge sharing.
  • Manage relationships with community leaders, speakers, and external contributors.

Technical Support & Insights

  • Provide first-level product support by handling error reports, feature suggestions, and issue reproduction.
  • Gather insights from the community and escalate recurring product feedback to internal teams.
  • Support product knowledge sharing by working with the content team on guides, tutorials, and best practices.

Community-Led Business Impact

  • Align community activities with business goals to drive new logo ARR, retention, and expansion.
  • Track and analyze engagement metrics (active members, forum contributions, event participation, etc.) to measure ROI.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Revenue and Customer Success to convert community engagement into business opportunities.
Job Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 3+ years experience in customer support, technical support, or community engagement.
  • Familiarity with the SaaS business model and automation testing tools.
  • Active participation in forums, blogs, or tech communities.
  • Ability to learn emerging technologies quickly and effectively communicate with technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Prior experience in community building, social media, and event management.
  • Experience creating technical content (tutorials, blog posts, FAQs, guides, etc.).
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in community analytics and engagement metrics tracking.
  • Familiarity with QA automation tools like Katalon, Selenium, or similar.
